Campo Largo Wind Complex

The Campo Largo I Wind Complex, in the northern state of Bahia, municipality of Sento Sé, is the first stage of the Campo Largo project. This initial phase corresponds to 326.7 MW in installed capacity from 121 2.7 MW wind turbines distributed across 11 wind farms. For a better sense of its dimensions, the wind turbines’ fans are 122 meters across; the towers are 89 meters tall; and each fan blade is 59.3 meters long. Construction began in 2016 and was completed with the entry into operation of the final farm in December 2018. The wind farms’ operating license is valid to 2052.

In 2018, remote operation of the Campo Largo I Wind Complex began at the Generation Operations Center (COG), located in ENGIE’s registered offices in Florianópolis (state of Santa Catarina).
