Rondonópolis SHP is located on the Ponte de Pedra River in the municipality of Rondonópolis (MT). It went into operation in 2007 and was integrated into ENGIE’s generator complex in 2008, together with José Gelázio da Rocha SHP. Its concession agreement expires in 2032.

Rondonópolis HPP has three generator units with horizontal turbines of the Francis type, each with an output of 8.87 MW, totaling 26.6 MW. The plant has a 10.1 average MW physical guarantee for commercialization.

In 2016, the Company began operating the plant remotely from the Generation Operations Center (COG), located at ENGIE’s head offices in Florianópolis (SC).
