Trairi Wind Complex

Trairi Wind Complex

The two-stage Trairi Wind Complex, located on the Ceará state coast, was entirely developed by ENGIE (green field project).

The first stage, which began in 2011, included implementation of the Fleixeiras I (30.0 MW), Guajirú (30.0 MW), Mundaú (30.0 MW) and Trairi (25.4 MW) wind farms. These were completed in 2014 and granted commercial operation authorization valid to 2041.

The second stage involved implementation of the Cacimbas (18.9 MW), Estrela (29.7 MW), Ouro Verde (29.7 MW) and Santa Mônica (18.9 MW) wind farms, which commenced commercial operations in 2017 and are authorized to operate until 2045.

The Trairi Wind Complex has 86 wind turbines for a total 212.6 MW in installed capacity and 102.3 aMW physical guarantee for commercialization.

In 2018, remote operation of the Trairi Wind Complex began at the Generation Operations Center (COG), located in ENGIE’s registered offices in Florianópolis (state of Santa Catarina).
